This is my favorite breakfast place in Springfield. Food is always fantastic and the service is wonderful. Not a place to go for ambiance but I don't go to breakfast for that.

I was met with a smile and a how are you today, I sat at the counter and had quick friendly service. Lots of options on the menu for breakfast or lunch. I ordered the breaded tenderloin sandwich and it was one of the best breaded tenderloin sandwiches I have ever eaten. No chewy grizzle and the breading was crisp and flaky, it was definitely homemade. The man sitting next to me ordered the grilled tenderloin and it looked amazing as well.
Stopped while driving through to North Dakota. What a wonderful find. Food was delicious, fresh and handmade. Our server Emma was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. If you're passing through Springfield, IL or if you're lucky enough to live here you should stop in.
This is a wonderful place to grab a wholesome meal. While not super fancy the food is delicious and the staff super friendly. Do Not Hesitate stopping there for a bite to eat - you will not regret it.
Great locally owned restaurant on the N end of Springfield. Pretty sure they have been here for years but we just went there for breakfast for the first time last year. 2017. Much bigger inside than it looks from the road, and pretty cozy inside. Attentive wait staff who know the menu. We have only eaten breakfast here but they have an all you can eat fried chicken special on Sunday I would be interested in trying. Here's my tip- They know how to make a good soft boiled egg, and the breakfast sausage link is killer. Excellent flavor and sausage.

Kicking 2016 off early Friday morning, Mike and I decided to let someone else cook us breakfast so we headed to #eatlocal at the Parkway Cafe. I've eaten here numerous times over the years, but this was the first time in a while so I kept it simple. Two egg combo with bacon, hash browns and toast. $6 for breakfast!! That's a deal. My eggs were cooked perfectly over easy and the hash browns were crispy in parts and didn't taste of oil. Bacon was crispy and delicious and my rye toast (not pictured) was over toasted, but still edible. I'm giving the Parkway four stars for consistent and tasty food over the years, breakfast all day, and reasonable pricing.
